Pomfret Fry:

Instructions

1.First, wash the Pomfret properly and make some slits on it.

6.Now, in a Kadhai heat some oil. Coat the marinated fish with Rawa and Rice Flour mixture and shallow fry each side for 5 minutes.

Fish Cutlet:


 

Instructions for Making it

 

1. Firstly in a pan, add washed fish pieces and then add black pepper corns, cloves, cinnamon stick, green cardamom, parsley and some salt. Add enough water to cover fish pieces and then cover the lid. Cook it till fish cooked well on a medium flame. It will take more or less time depending on a type of fish.

 

2. Once fish boiled, drain all the excess water, remove all the whole spices from it and keep aside for cooling and then remove the skin of fish.

 

3. In a pressure cooker, add potatoes and water and boil potatoes till perfectly cooked. Peel them off and mash them in a separate bowl.

 

4.Take a mixing bowl, add mashed potatoes and fish.

 

5.Further add chopped onion, green chilies, ginger and coriander leaves. Mix well

 

6.Then add all the powdered spices like, black pepper powder, garam masala powder, cumin powder, salt. Make sure everything will be combine evenly.

 

7.Take a small portion from the mixture and make a round ball from it, slightly flatten it by pressing it and make all the kebab with the similar process.

 

8.Take a pan, add oil and heat it up. Once it becomes hot, turn the flame low and then add the prepared kebab in oil and cook them till golden and then flip them to fry from the other side. Once they cooked well, take them out from oil and transfer to the kitchen paper to remove excess oil.

 

9.Fry all the kebab with the similar process. Finally, serve these hot and delicious fish cutlets with dip or chutney and add some lemon wedges aside.

6. Heat a frying pan and add oil. Roll the pomfret in semolina to cover both sides.

 

7. Add the pomfret in the hot oil and cook on either side till done. It takes around 4-5 minutes on each side for a crispy crust.

 

8. Serve hot with a slice of lemon and salad of your choice
